Toddler Speak Defined...

Before you start reading, I must admit that this post is more for me than for anyone actually reading. Grayson is starting to lose a lot of his "toddler speak", and I just can't bear the thought of forgetting some of these "words" that he uses so often. Don't get me wrong, sometimes I think that he is speaking another language because he is talking so fast (I wonder who he got that from??), but most of the time, most people can understand everything he is saying. So, in order to help my mommy brain remember these sweet words, here are the words that we hear most often that are still "toddler speak":

shobel - shovel

sammich - sandwich

forse (or the plural form, "forsies") - horse

seeping – sleeping

gog – dog

ammals – animals

hays – hay (Grayson insists that the “forsies eat hays”)

all da-board (as in "all da-board the choo choo train!") - "All aboard!"

trashter - tractor

no know - I don't know

bumpies - bumpy (whenever we go over a bump in the car, Grayson yells "It's bumpies!")

That is so cute! It's a good idea to write things down, I should do that too. My son says some of the funniest things and I'm sure we'll forget a lot of it too. Good idea to write them down and tuck them in his baby book before it's too late. :)

That 3 tier shelf came from Homegoods! It was in the garden section, although, I wouldn't trust it to be outside. It isn't the highest quality item but I love it indoors.
