Savoring the details...

I find myself watching Grayson more often these days...not watching him to make sure he's safe, but really studying him. I watch him while he runs, while he plays, and while he's still (which is rare). I am noticing that our little boy, who will be 2 1/2 next week, is literally growing up before our eyes.

Grayson is becoming more inquisitive each day. "What is this called?" is quickly becoming one of his favorite, and often-used phrases.

With the weather  becoming warmer in Missouri, we are spending more of our days outside.  Grayson loves to play in the water table, usually washing his little animals.  One day we spotted a little toad nearby.  Grayson immediately reached down to pick him up, but the toad didn't want to make friends. :)  Can you find the toad in the picture below?

Gray has become a big fan of wearing different "hats" - either his knight helmet (from his Grandma and Grandpa) or batter's helmet (from his Great Grandma).  We were driving to church one Wednesday night and Grayson insisted on wearing his knight helmet in the car.  I couldn't resist snapping a picture while he was happily playing with his animals.

**The car was parked in the church parking lot when I took this picture.  I wasn't driving. :)
Another favorite pastime is playing baseball.  Grayson is insistent upon wearing his batter's helmet each time we "play" baseball.  I know I'm him momma and I'm biased, but I think he's pretty good for a 2 year old!

I think that more of the posts these days have been more for me than for anyone reading...just trying to "savor the details" of our blessed life.
